The worst job you ever had?

Let me be first, but hopefully not the worst.
I started in Germany as apprentice in a Locomotive Repair Works.
My train to work left at 4:43, I had a train change and started working at 6:55.
6 days a week with no pay, but we did have a free lunch.
Each year we had 25-30 new apprentices, we learned everything from the ground up, all by hand with no machines at all.
Filing, filing for about 3 months, then a test where about 5 of us were let go.
I hoped I would be one of them, but nooo.
All I ever thought about was sleepng, I was late about twice in 2 years and everytime I was late, it was like a major crime.
My next train got me there about 5 minutes late, when I walked into our big work hall, all the other boys stopped working and grinned at me. They knew I was going to get it.
The Master waited for me at the top of the stairs leading to his office, he said "Come on up, I need to talk to you"
"Dont you like this job, dont you know what a great opportunity this is?"
In my head I said I really hate this job, but what I said was that I really loved this job and I was really sorry that I was late.-- The good part: When we got to the USA, to Chicago, I had many, many job opportunities and finally made it to a job I love, thanks to CNC. Heinz at doccnc.com
