Mori Seiki TL40 Fanuc10TF Tool setter problem

$

Got this TL40 lathe with the batteries flat and the parameters lost. Mori did not have parameters for my machine but supplied a global data list.
Installing pmc and nc parameters got the machine running Ok except for the presetter and the hydraulic steady.
Presetter arm down, psm button and touch sensors sent the gxx signals to the cnc but this has no effect on the offsets.
Would option parameters be the problem?
Does anyone have a similar machine or if you can help in any way please respond.
Thanks in advance

MillPWR Help

I just took delivery of an older (early 90's) Bridgeport with a MillPWR 2 axis control. It was working fine. I powered it down. It sat for A week or so then up in attempting power up, it have me an error.Something about it a communication problem with the keyboard and to press F1 to continue. The control doesn't have an F1 key so I powered down to re-boot. When I try to bring it back up, it beeps 10 times then pauses then beeps 10 times again and repeats this cycle. I have tried powering down and up several times with the same result. Is this an alarm? Is it possible that a battery died and I lost my start up procedure? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Johnford SL-800B False overtravel

Hi all,
this machine has began to have a problem with the hydraulics turning off during cycle. The only thing I see on the panel is the over travel indicator is lit while both turrets are actually in cut. No alarms are present. At times we can dial the turrets around a bit after cycling power and get it to machine 3 or 4 parts before the same thing happens again. At one time we did get a motor over load alarm.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

Good morning all,

I have got a problem with my Amada Vipros 345 Queen ( Year - 1997 ). I am using PEUWin dnc software for program upload and download. Electrical power broke down while a program was being sent to machine from computer and 101 alarm came out. RESET key + Delete key were pressed together at power on according to manual instruction book and Macro program was lost. After Macro program ' O9201(G06-A-3.NCT,,,VIPROS D,E) ' was keyed in manually, the X and Y axes speed moved too fast and I dare not to run machine. Please can somebody help me to solve this problem? My machine's control is AMADAN FANUC O4 PC

Thanks.

Hitachi VK45 5065 TF START ALARM

Getting this error on my VK45.
5065 TF START ALARM
What is a TF?
Anyone know what this abbreviation stands for?

I have tried tracing it back in the ladder program (I am far from an expert doing this) and it seems to lead back to a pair of timers that toggle each other back and forth and I don't see a way to stop them.
Picture0001.jpg
Picture0002.jpg
Picture0003.jpg

About a month ago I lost one if the relay driver chips on the
ATC board. I replaced the chip with an identical new one and all has been working well for several weeks. Now this TF alarm. Yesterday I went into the SLBUS table and disabled each of the slaves (ATC, OP Panel and Panel) one at a time. As expected I could monitor the indicator light on each of the three slave boards and confirm they were no longer being polled by the NC.

Even with all three disabled, the TF Alarm still triggered (every 2 seconds per the two timers).

If TF does indeed mean tool functionthe alarm still triggers even after telling the NC there is no tool changer.

Other information I have gathered:
The mill has a three stage power on.

1. flip the main disconnect on (fans start)
2. Press the "Power" (turns on the NC and crt displays PC READY)
3. Press "Standby" Hydraulics start, chime plays, the position screen is displayed and the OP panel becomes active"

at this point, everything works. I can manually operate the tool changer, spindle and all three axis's but I can not clear the TF alarm for more than 2 seconds and the machine will not run in AUTO mode.

Also the TF alarm is triggered as soon as the PC READY message is displayed before the rest of the machine is started with the STANDBY button.

Facing/Boring/Drilling/ multiple ops on Meat Slicer Basins using 2 Pallet, Okuma MH60, horizontal 50T, probably 5000/6000 Series aluminum alloy causing a high pitched squeal/chatter while routing a hole resulting in excessive harmonic frequency eventually caused the races' in bearing housing to crack locking Spindle Up. I decided to call service in and also found rotor shaft distorted needing eventually turned .003....$16,000. Coolant good, bits are good, fixture clamping tight, Speed, Feed?? not sure. they decided to keep on running the same. Any comments??

servo alarm

Hi All,
I have a servo alarm #603 y axis inv ipm alarm. I replaced the servo drive A06B-6111-H205, 2 axis module MDL SVM2-20/20i last week because the C-axis had a 449 c axis inv prm alarm. Both times the diagnostics showed an abnormal current is being generated in the servo amp (#200 has HCA), and the amp is over heating(#201 has ALD). The Y-axis, and C-axis share this servo drive. The machine ran fine for almost a week after the replacement was installed when the Y-axis alarm occurred. Defective replacement or just bad luck? The C-axis motor was also replaced. Is there any way to trouble shoot?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi All,
I'm looking for project ideas for some at home welding projects. I also enjoy working on cars and boats when life gives me the time. I get a lot of my materials from buymetal.com and thought it might be a good resource for you guys as well.
